Aerosol

Mixture of a gaseous substance and liquid or solid, finely distributed elements referred to as “suspended particles”. These particles are everywhere in the air and are so small that, individually, they cannot be seen with the naked eye. Examples are salt crystals, sand grains, pollen and soot as well as other particles in industrial fumes. Aerosol particles accumulate air humidity and thus act as cloud condensation nuclei.
